A new compact air conditioner, the AWI-15HRDC1G / AWO-15HRDC1G, has been added to the AlpicAir product range. The new model stands out primarily due to its small and lightweight outdoor unit, which provides more installation options even in locations where space is limited.
With this model, compactness is not merely a design advantage. The smaller outdoor unit helps solve one of the most common installation challenges: where to place the air conditioner’s outdoor unit when suitable free space on an exterior wall, balcony or around the building is limited.
Compact dimensions, more installation options
When choosing an air conditioner, attention is often paid to the appearance of the indoor unit and the unit’s capacity, but finding a suitable location for the outdoor unit can prove to be a much greater challenge. This is particularly relevant for apartments, balconies, smaller buildings and other locations where every centimetre matters.
The outdoor unit measures only 710 × 450 × 293 mm and weighs 19.5 kg, providing greater flexibility when selecting an installation location. The outdoor unit may also be suitable for installation on a balcony or in another location with limited space, provided that the airflow required for the unit’s operation and condensate drainage are ensured and the requirements of the building or apartment association are met.
The indoor unit is also smaller than usual, measuring only 735 × 260 × 190 mm and weighing 7.5 kg. Its low and narrow casing helps to find a suitable location for the unit even in rooms with limited wall space, for example above a door or in another location where a larger unit would not fit easily.
Efficient cooling for smaller rooms
The compact dimensions do not mean that compromises have been made in the unit’s core performance. The model has a cooling capacity of 1.5 kW and a heating capacity of 2.1 kW. The unit has an A++ energy efficiency rating for cooling and an A+ rating for heating.
Smart features for more convenient use
The unit’s additional features help reduce the need for daily manual adjustments and make it easier to maintain a suitable indoor temperature.
- Wi-Fi control allows the unit’s operation and settings to be managed from a smart device, even while away.
- The timer and clock allow the air conditioner to be set to switch on or off automatically.
- The I FEEL function uses the temperature measured near the remote control, helping to regulate the indoor climate according to the user’s actual location.
- The dehumidification function helps reduce excessive humidity in the indoor air.
- The washable filter can be removed, cleaned and reused. Simplifies the regular maintenance of the unit and helps keep the airflow clean.
- Automatic restart allows the unit to resume operation automatically after a power outage.
- The child lock helps prevent accidental changes to the settings. Useful both in homes with children and in public spaces.
- The +8 °C energy-saving mode helps maintain a low holding temperature in a seasonally used room.
- Low ambient temperature cooling mode allows cooling to be used even in cooler-than-usual weather.
- The low-noise airflow system supports comfortable use in rooms where a quiet working environment is important.
- The LED display provides a quick overview of the unit’s operation and selected settings, making everyday use easier.
The indoor unit can also be connected to an AlpicAir multi-split outdoor unit. A wired controller with a MODBUS interface and external on/off control are available as optional accessories. These options may be particularly important in commercial premises and other facilities where centralised control of the air-conditioning system or integration with the building management system is required.
