Komfovent has carried out new corrosion resistance tests on the casings of VERSO Standard, VERSO Pro, VERSO Pro2 and KLASIK air handling units. As a result of the tests, the casings of these series now comply with the C5 corrosion resistance class. C5 is one of the highest corrosion resistance categories and is particularly important in environments where equipment is exposed to highly corrosive conditions.
Where is C5 corrosion resistance important?
High corrosion resistance is particularly important in demanding environmental conditions. Typical applications include coastal and marine infrastructure, ports and heavy industrial facilities. C5 corrosion resistance is also important in environments where the air may contain salts or chemical compounds, or where equipment is exposed to high humidity and other factors that promote corrosion.
In such conditions, a corrosion-resistant casing helps reduce the risk of structural damage while maintaining the unit’s technical properties and reliability throughout its service life. Greater corrosion resistance also contributes to a longer service life and lower operating costs.

The C5 corrosion resistance class expands the range of applications for VERSO and KLASIK air handling units in projects where equipment must withstand more aggressive environmental conditions.
